This was established under the concept of “Siyawas Pusthakala” by the Honorable Late Minister I.M.R. Iriyagolla in July, 1947.This library facilitates grade 6-11 students as well as A/L students. There are about 22000 books in the library and out of them, 8000 books are in the reference section.Government past paper collection for all grades, annual bank reports and teacher guides are always available at the library as reference material for students and teachers who require them in the reference section. There’s enough space for 50 students. A collection of magazines from different authors are available for reference. Articles with educational importance from old newspapers are cut out and stored for the use of teachers and students.
The present librarian is Mr: W. W. Sarath Weerathunga.
OurSchool not only owns a good main library but our primary students have now become proud owners of a very homely and welcoming Primary Library. This has become a very exciting and welcoming place for our younger students to be in. There are 2 junior libraries.
Junior Library No 1
This library was established in 2002 and ceremonially opened by the former Minister of Education Mr. Suranimala Rajapakshe and the chief minister of North Central Province Mr. Berty Premalal Dissanayake. Students of the classes from grade six to grade nine are specially benefited through this.There are about 8500 books available in this library.The present librarian is Mrs. R. M. Nilanthi Priyadarshani Rathnayake. Also she is a past pupil of Anuradhapura Central College.
Junior Library No 2
This library was established in 21/07/2012. Students of the classes from grade 10 and grade 11 are specially benefited through this. There are 7000 books available in this library which are importance as educationally for OL students.The present librarian is Mrs. R.S.R.K. Rajakaruna and Mrs. H.N.C. Kumari Rajapaksha.
